Christkindlmarkt Mission & Details

Christkindlmarkt SLC 2025 will take place Wednesday December 2nd - Sat December 5th at This is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. The mission of Christkindlmarkt (CKM) is to connect and serve the community through a magical, cultural celebration of Christmas. CKM’s motto is “Putting the KIND in ChristKINDlmarkt.”  Christkindlmarkt SLC is a 501(c)(3) and is run by a volunteer organizing committee who receives no compensation for their efforts. We ask our vendors to help our team in this mission!

Key Dates

Vendor Applications Due: Friday, April 17, 2026

Late applications will be accepted after April 17, 2026 but will be charged a $50 late fee, if accepted. Due to the high volume of applicants, late applicants will receive an email reply from the vendor team only if accepted orr if more application information is required.

Final Vendor Selection Announced: June 1, 2026

A jury committee will review applications and select vendors based on uniqueness of product, market fit, and past vendor’s sales. Vendor applicants will receive an email with their application status no later than June 1, 2026. Accepted vendors will receive additional information regarding fees and participation instructions prior to the market.

Application Information

Criteria

Christkindlmarkt SLC is looking for unique products, preferably with a European flair. Products do not need to be handmade. The jury committee reviews applications and selects vendors based on uniqueness of product, market fit, and past vendor’s sales.

Christkindlmarkt SLC projects crowds of 100,000+ visitors over four days. Vendors are expected to be prepared with enough inventory for all four days.

Booth Options

We will do our best, but we cannot guarantee that you will be placed in the booth that you request, as there are a limited number of booths available. Vendors are responsible for decorating the inside and outside of their booth in a festive manner. The booth options are as follows:

  1. 10’ x 10’ Wooden booth

  2. 8’ x 6’ Wooden booth

  3. 10’ x 10’ Red/white striped CANOPY with wooden platform floor

  4. Your own canopy 

Vendor Fees:

Vendor fees consist of the Booth Fees, Electrical Package, and a percentage of net sales. The Booth Fees and Electric Fees are due upon acceptance.

Booth Fees:

$150 (regardless of booth option)

Electrical Package Fee: (Choose one)

  • Basic Package ($50): Accommodates vendors who need one outlet to plug in Christmas lights (Will NOT accommodate electrical heaters)


  • Intermediate Package ($250): Accommodates up to 4500 watts of power

  • Supreme Package ($500): Accommodates up to 9000 watts of power

  • Food Trucks have the option to use their own generators and therefore do not require an electrical package because they are autonomous. All other individual generators are prohibited.

Percentage of Net Sales:

  • Product Vendors: 10% net sales (gross sales less tax)

  • Food Vendors: 15% net sales (gross sales less tax)

Photos (Required for first time vendors)

First time vendor applications should include 3-5 photographs of products or food. (Past CKM vendors do not need to include photos.) Upload photos or provide a link (social media is fine) on your application or email photos to vendorteam@christkindlmarkt-slc.com

Policies

Late Application Fee

Late applications will be accepted after April 17, 2026 but will be charged a $50 late fee, if accepted. Due to the high volume of applicants, late applicants will receive an email reply from the vendor team only if accepted or if more application information is required.

Late Payment of Vendor Fee (Accepted Vendors Only)

Booth Fees and Electrical Package Fees are due upon acceptance. Fees are due by June 30, 2026. A late fee will be charged to vendors who pay after June 30, 2026. Failure to pay vendor fees by July 15, 2026 may result in a forfeiture of the vendor’s spot. Christkindlmarkt SLC reserves the right to replace a vendor who does not pay their fees.

Withdrawal Policy (Accepted Vendors Only)

To withdraw, the vendor must inform the Christkindlmarkt vendor team at vendorteam@christkindlmarkt-slc.com. To receive a full refund of vendor fees, the vendor must withdraw by August 15, 2026. To receive a 50% refund, the vendor must withdraw between August 16, 2026 and September 1, 2026. No refund will be issued for withdrawal after September 1, 2026.

Beware of Vendor Scams

Vendor scams operate by telling people they are being accepted as a vendor at Christkindlmarkt SLC. In reality, you are not being offered a spot but rather you may have been tricked into sending money to a scam artist.

Christkindlmarkt SLC will communicate with vendors exclusively via email and come from an @christkindlmarkt-slc.com email.

Christkindlmarkt SLC does not communicate with accepted vendors through Facebook, Instagram or any other channel besides the email addresses listed above. Vendors are only asked to pay vendor fees after formal acceptance (via email). If you have any concerns, we recommend ceasing communication and disregarding such emails as they are a scam. If you have received a vendor offer email that says it’s from Christkindlmarkt SLC and want to confirm its legitimacy, you can contact us at vendorteam@christkindlmarkt-slc.com.
